A water bottle cover that is personalized and easy to carry. What kid wouldn’t be happy to have one of these for their school day?
It’s probably a bonus that this water bottle cover is fairly simple to make too. All it takes is a willingness to learn and a little bit of practice.
I learned how to knit more than ten years ago when I was first married by a sweet little old lady I went to church with.
Unfortunately, several kids, and several years later I completely forgot how to knit. The past year or so I have started re-teaching myself. I couldn’t have done it without you-tube, and the help of some friends who have incredible skills.
I started with a simple project making leggings for my Adalaide.
But I am so glad that my plans weren’t set in stone. When Carter’s teacher asked for him to bring a water bottle with a cover to school, I repurposed the one and only legging I had finished.
I can’t tell you how many times I knitted this legging, made mistakes, pulled everything out and started over again.
Not to mention the times the puppy pulled out my work for me. 😉 I probably could have knitted 10 pairs of leggings, or enough water bottle covers for an entire classroom.
Would you be excited to have the opportunity to make a knitted water bottle cover of your own?
Or possibly even more than one depending on how many kiddos you have that will be needing them. 🙂 Well it’s you’re lucky day…

I always love the opportunity to make something special for my kids and I hope you will too. This is something they can keep and even pass down to their own children some day. That is, as long as it doesn’t end up in the school lost and found first. 🙂
